Meet Studio Owner/ Instructor:

Mrs. Crystal Boudy

Crystal O’Quinn Boudy (owner of Studio 33) started her formal training in the art of dance at the tender age of three under the instruction of her grandmother, Ellen O’Quinn. Mrs. Ellen O’Quinn had been a professional dancer in Germany during WWII, but started a school of dance here in America. After her retirement, Crystal Boudy continued her training under Mrs. O’Quinn’s daughter, Patricia Warren. After completing her own training, she would then go on to teach classes of her own at Artistic Dance Academy for the next thirteen years. During this time, she also successfully received her Associates of the Arts degree from Wayne community College.

Crystal is well versed in all genres of dance including ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, tap, and pointe. She has taken several dance workshops over the years to extend her knowledge in dance.  In the past she has taken workshops with many amazing instructors at Broadway Dance Center in New York City.  While here she took contemporary classes with Phil Orsano and Tracie Stanfield.  She also took tap classes with Jason Bernard.  Jason is known for his work in the Tony Award-Winning Musical Bring in Da’ Noise, Bring in Da’ Funk.  He was also has toured the world for 10 years with the international dance show Riverdance.  While in New York, Crystal also pushed herself in many ballet classes with instructors Jamie Salmon and Peter Schabel.  Summer of 2019, Crystal returned to New York and Broadway Dance Center where she took ballet classes with Madame Olga, and contemporary with Tracey Stanfield. Since that time, Mrs. Boudy has brought in different choreographers to Goldsboro and studied with them, such as contemporary choreographer Ashley Lindsey, technique instructors Autumn & Krista Miller, and hip hop artist Sam Allen.

Currently she continues to excel in choreography, and has assisted in choreographing numbers within the community. Her numbers have been performed by amazing dancers for Cures for the Colors, Distinguished Young Women’s, and churches in our community.  She has choreographed numerous pieces for pageants, solos, and Wayne School of Engineering competition dance team. This last dance season, Crystal formed and lead a outreach dance group, Hope Travelers.  This group not only used their talents to perform, but they also used their hearts to love on those in need.   In 2017, her contemporary routine Body Love was not only performed and invited to several venues, it also won first overall at Southeast Showdown Dance Competition.

Crystal enjoys teaching children not only for the love of dance but because of her love for her students. She has the amazing ability to build upon a child’s strengths and weaknesses – all while promoting a positive and loving Christian Environment.

Meet Instructor:

Emma Tucker

Miss Emma Tucker is a talented and dedicated dance instructor who has been assisting in dance classes for the past two years. Emma's passion for dance is evident through her extensive training and numerous accolades. She recently trained with Titans Dance Convention in 2024 and attended the UNC School of the Arts Winter Dance Festival the same year. Her training also includes a Dance Intensive with Hayden Preksitt in 2023, a Technique and Partnering Intensive in 2024, a Preprofessional Dance Intensive with Destiney Daniels in 2022, and the Bloom Intensive at CC & Co in Raleigh in 2023, and recently completed the Pre-Pro program through CC & CO in Raliegh, NC.

Emma's skills have been recognized at the Southeast Showdown dance competition, where she received the Judges Award Stole the Show for their self-choreographed routine "Arms Around Me," performed and choreographed with Mason Fisher. This routine also won first place, and she was also honored with the Showdown Dancer Award. Additionally, Emma secured first place for her solo performance at the Southeast Showdown in 2024.

Emma's creative choreography, technical prowess, and expressive performances make her a standout instructor and dancer. Her dedication to dance and her ability to inspire others have made her a valuable member of our dance community. We are excited to see her continue to share her talent and passion with her students!

This season we are excited to welcome back Emma as an instructor for 10-12 Contemporary, Jr. Company Jazz, and 13 & Up Contemporary

Meet Instructor:

Avaleah Epps

Miss Avaleah will join us this season as our 10-12 Tap Instructor and Mini Tumble Instructor.

Miss Epps has been dancing since she was small and joined us at Studio 33 Dance Company when we opened. Since then, she has worked hard and joined our Senior Company level as well as our Senior Hope Travelers Dance Outreach Team, and Competition Team 3. Miss Avaleah takes classes in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, and Pointe, and Tumbling. For the past two seasons, Miss Avaleah has operated as an assistant in Mini Tap, Mini Hip Hop, Mini Ballet, Mini & 7-11 Tumble.

In the Spring of 2020, Miss Avaleah worked to further her dance knowledge by attending dance technique intensive instructed by Krista and Autumn Miller from the Brea Space in California. She also furthered her dance training by attending Hip Hop Masterclass with L.A. Choreographer Sam Allen. In the summer of 2022, 2023, and 2024, Miss Avaleah attended Pre-Professional Dance Intensive hosted by Destiney Daniels. She also extended her training by attending Radix Dance Convention, UNCSA Winter Dance Festival, and Titans Dance Convention.

We are excited to have Miss Avaleah return this season as an instructor and to continue her role as an assistant.

Meet Instructor:

Mia Avilez

Miss Mia has been dancing for 11 years. She is a recent graduate of Wayne Community College High School and is working towards her nursing degree.

Miss Avilez has always had an amazing work ethic and a love for children. Since her time with us at Studio 33 Dance Company, she trained as a Senior Company dancer as well as a member of our Hope Travelers Dance Outreach Team, and our Competition Teams.

Miss Mia has trained under Crystal Boudy in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Pointe. In 2019, Miss Mia worked to further her dance knowledge by attending ballet technique intensive instructed by Paula Crowper. She has also studied under wonderful instructors and choreographers at Broadway Dance Center in New York City, New York.

We are excited for Mia to join our staff this season teaching Mini Ballet on Friday’s

Meet Instructor:

Serena Boudy

We are thrilled to welcome back Ms. Serena Boudy, a talented and accomplished dance instructor. Serena graduated high school at the age of 16, having been home-schooled by her mother, Crystal Boudy. She achieved magnum cum laude honors and also attended Wayne Community College during her high school years. Serena has earned her Business Concentration Certificate and an Associate in Arts from Wayne Community College. She also has completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Family and Community Services with a concentration in Family Science at East Carolina University.

Serena has been dancing since she was three years old, and her passion for the art form has only grown over the years. Serena has showcased her talents at numerous community events, including Dancing with the Stars, the Mt. Olive Pickle Festival, Light Up Downtown, and in Jamaica and local churches.

Throughout her dance career, Serena has attended many workshops and classes, both locally and in other communities. In the summer of 2016, she took several workshops and attended classes at Broadway Dance Center in New York. There, she studied with renowned instructors such as Deanna Doyle, Beth Goheen, Jamie Salmon, and Jason Boccitto, and even took a Broadway dance class with Jonathan Warren from the cast of Wicked. This past summer, Serena had the incredible opportunity to dance in the Magic Kingdom parade during Dance the World at Disney, as well as perform at Epcot. She continued her dance education by participating in workshops and intensives with Crystal Boudy and Witney Carson from Dancing with the Stars. Recently, Serena attended a lecture, demonstration, and private masterclass held by the Ailey II Dance Company and a Hip Hop class with Sam Allen at Broadway Dance Center.

In addition to her extensive training, Serena has also received technique training with Krista and Autumn Miller. Her dedication, skill, and passion for dance make her an exceptional instructor and an inspiration to her students. We are excited to see Serena continue to share her love of dance with our community!

Mrs. Serena will be joining our staff this season instructing Mini Ballet on Tuesdays with Mrs. Crystal and Mini Tap on Thursdays.

Meet Instructor:

Payton Cox

Miss Payton has been dancing under the instruction of Mrs. Crystal Boudy for many years. While at Studio 33 Dance Company, Miss Payton has trained in Ballet, Contemporary, Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop. Last season, Miss Cox was able to sub several classes and was an amazing attribute to the studio.

Payton is a strong member of our Senior Company and a dedicated member to our Competition Team 3. This season she participated in two competition groups, all while perfecting her own solo and keeping up with her academic studies.

This season, we are pleased to welcome Miss Payton to our staff where she will instruct our 5-8 tap.

Meet Instructor:

Dylan Fisher

Dylan Fisher is a High School Graduate and has been dancing since he was a small child. Dylan joined Studio 33 during our opening season 10 years ago.

Since that time, he has trained in Hip Hop, Ballet, Contemporary, and Jazz.

Dylan is a current member of Studio 33 Senior Company level, as well as our Senior Hope Travelers Dance Outreach Team, and Senior Competition Team. In the Spring of 2020, Dylan worked to further his dance knowledge by attending dance technique intensive instructed by Krista and Autumn Miller from the Brea Space in California. More recently, he also furthered his dance training by attending Hip Hop Masterclass with L.A. Choreographer Sam Allen. He has also attended dance conventions through Radix and Titans.

As a talented instructor and choreographer, we are excited to welcome Dylan back into our staff this season.

Meet Instructor: Rachel Jones

Miss Rachel Jones is a graduate of Green Central High School, has completed her cosmetology degree, and is the owner/ operator of Rachel’s Outdoor Camera.

She has been dancing since the age of 3 years old. She has taken several genres of dance such as Contemporary, Jazz, and Hip Hop. Hip Hop being her favorite genre. Rachel has previously taken dance under the instruction of Artistic Dance Academy and Studio 33 Dance Company with Crystal Boudy. She has been a part of dance within her community by participating in Dancing with the Stars of Wayne County and Dance for Christ, and let season choreographed the hip hop section for Light Up Downtown Goldsboro.

In 2016, Rachel Jones took classes in New York at Broadway Dance Center to further her dance knowledge. While there she took classes in Hip Hop under great instructors such as Carols Neto and Bev Brown. She also took tap classes with great instructors such as Jason Brenard and Katherine Ponza. Jason is known for his work in the Tony Award-Winning musical Bring in Da’ Noise, Bring in Da’ Funk. He was also has toured the world for 10 years with the international dance show Riverdance. Katherine also has a great resume – including work in the Sydney 2000 Olympics, Disney’s World on Ice, and a Tap Soloist with the Brad Child Jazz Orchestra in Sydney to name a few. While at Broadway Dance Center Rachel also furthered her dance knowledge by taking a Master Ballet Class with Deanna Doyle, and a Broadway Dance Class with Jonathan Warren from the cast of Wicked. This summer she attended at Teacher’s Dance Workshop with Mrs. Crystal here at Studio 33 Dance Company. Last dance season she took a Hip Hop dance workshop with Delaney Glazer. This 2018, Rachel returned to New York taking classes under Tracie Stanfield, Kaitlyn Frank, and Sam Allen.

We are excited to welcome Rachel back as an instructor this season. Her patience and diligence with all ages makes her a valuable asset to our team. We can wait to see your talented choreography touch the stage this season!

Meet Instructor: Liam Stoudt

Liam is former C.B. Aycock High School Graduate and is currently a Senior Company Dance Member at Studio 33 Dance Company.

Liam has been dancing for the past nine years. He began his dance journey at Studio 33 Dance Company under the instruction of Mrs. Crystal Boudy and other instructors. Since that time Liam has trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, and Hip Hop.

Liam is an amazing performer and choreographer. Last season he choreographed his own competition routine, and we are excited to have him back this season choreographing a piece for our Competiton Team Two. He has performed at several venues as well as competed with this group- placing First and Second in their respective categories.

This season, Liam is returning to Studio 33 Staff instructing 13 & up Jazz, Intermediate Hip Hop, and Intermediate 1 Jazz.

Meet Instructor:

Adisa Umar

Miss Adisa is a talented and dedicated dance instructor who has been assisting in dance classes for the past three years. Adisa passion for dance is evident through her extensive training and numerous accolades. She recently trained with Titans Dance Convention in 2023 & 2024. Her training also includes a Dance Intensive with Hayden Preksitt in 2023, a Technique and Partnering Intensive in 2024, and recently completed the Pre-Pro program through CC & CO in Raliegh, NC.

Adisa has also attended several dance conventions where she has been recognized and received multiple scholarships and awards from Titans Dance Convention, Radix Dance Convention, and 24-7 Dance Convention.

Adisa’s talent has been recognized at the Southeast Showdown dance competition and StarQuest Dance Competition where she was a title holder in 2024.

Adisa has a passion for dance and an elegance in ballet. We are excited to have her rejoin our staff as an instructor for Pointe I & II this season.

Meet Guest Choreographer/Instructor: Destiney Daniels

Destiney Daniels is a dancer, choreographer, and a graduate from University North Carolina School of the Arts. She has been accepted and is excited to be furthering her dance training through Hollins University where she will be able to train outside of the country while working to obtain her Master’s Degree in Dance Education. Destiney comes from a small town, Goldsboro, North Carolina. Here, she received training with Studio 33 Dance Company, Artistic Dance Academy, and A Step of Class. She completed her senior year training with the pre-professional training program at Greenville Civic Ballet.

Aside from training with local dance studios, Destiney has also taken several dance workshops and Summer Dance Intensives with Carolina Ballet, CC & Co, and University North Carolina School of the Arts Contemporary Summer Intensive, to name a few.

Destiney has performed in several selections with The Greenville Dance Collective’s “Aladdin,” “A Night Of Music” Top Hat Ballroom, The Empty Stocking Fund, Dance for Christ, Disney’s Magic Kingdom Parade, Cures for the Colors, Make A Wish, Relay for Life, and Light Up Downtown Goldsboro.

Destiney began instructing classes at the age of fifteen. Since that time, she has taught classes in all genres including contemporary, ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, and hip hop.

In 2019, Destiney assisted with the production and choreography for Hope For Heroes; a fundraising event to honor military and first responders. Since that time, she has continued to choreograph several pieces for dance studio recital selections, auditions, and competition selections for soloist and group routines. Many of her choreographed competition routines have placed first overall.

In the summer of 2022, Destiney lead her own Summer Dance Intensive, “Preparing for Dance Auditions.” During this she led several dancers with instruction on how to build their resumes, headshots, how to take photographs, as well as classes that taught techniques and choreography. The summer intensive ended with a showcase where students performed what they had learned during these training sessions.

In the past, Destiney choreographed selections “Heaven’s Call” and “Your Grace” utilizing dancers from Studio 33 Dance Company in Goldsboro, NC and used these creations for dance for film.

This year, Destiney is continuing her dance training and education as a student of Hollins University M.F.A Dance program where she will train with outstanding choreographers/ instructors here in the states and abroad.

Meet Guest Choreographer / Instructor:

Hayden Preskitt

Miss Hayden Preskitt is a current contemporary dance major at University of North Carolina School of the Arts.


Hayden has a passion for dance. She has practiced several hours and attended many classes and intensives to further her training. During her training, Hayden has taken dance at other studios as well as Studio 33 Dance Company under the instruction of Studio Owner, Crystal Boudy. At Studio 33 she trained in Hip Hop, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, and Jazz. She has also taken private master classes with Ailey II, Parsons Dance Company, Ashley Lindsey, and Phillip Mgee. In 2022, Hayden entered in two self-choreographed solo’s at Southeast Showdown Dance Competition, and her jazz solo won First Top Ten Overall! This season, Miss Preskitt’s choreography with Dylan Fisher placed First Overall at Starquest Competition and Southeast Showdown.

In spring of 2020, Miss Preskitt attended a dance intensive on turns and technique with Krista and Autumn Miller from the Brea Space in California. Recently, in the summer of 2021, Hayden also attended a Hip Hop masterclass with L.A. choreographer Sam Allen. In 2022, Miss Preskitt was accepted and attended University School of the Arts North Carolina Summer Contemporary Dance Intensive. This past season, Hayden hosted her first dance intensive where she taught lessons in technique, jumps & turns, and partnering.

Meet Guest Choreographer

Meleysha Wooten

Meleysha is a recent graduate of UNCSA with a B.F.A. with a concentration in Contemporary Dance.

Miss Wooten is an accomplished North Carolina-based artist with over 16 years of experience in the world of dance. Her passion for movement began at the age of 12 at Studio 33 Dance Company, where she received rigorous technical training. Growing up in La Grange, Meleysha was deeply inspired by her aunt’s liturgical and West African dance performances, which helped shape her artistic foundation.

In 2021, Meleysha furthered her commitment to dance by pursuing a BFA at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. There, she trained extensively in a wide range of techniques, including Cunningham, Tap, Clogging, Jazz, Musical Theater, Hip Hop, Partnering, Composition, Ballet, West African, Counter Technique, Horton, Limón, and Graham.

A milestone in her academic career came when she was featured in UNCSA’s first-ever main stage West African production. This historic performance not only highlighted the richness of West African dance traditions but also marked a significant step in diversifying the school’s artistic repertoire. Her role in the production reflected her dedication to bridging traditional and contemporary forms through powerful, expressive storytelling.

Beyond performance, Meleysha is also a passionate choreographer and educator. She works with young dancers across North Carolina, teaching and mentoring students ages 2 to 16. Her choreography is a vibrant tapestry of styles, seamlessly blending her technical skills and cultural influences into a unique and expressive voice.

With every movement, Meleysha continues to explore the limitless possibilities of dance—sharing her story, her heritage, and her heart through boundless creativity. We are excited to have her this season as a guest choreographer/ instructor.

Meet Guest Choreographer/ Instructor

Micah Isaiah

Micah Isaiah is a dynamic and deeply expressive dancer whose artistry bridges classical training with contemporary innovation. Originally from Goldsboro, North Carolina, Micah began his dance journey at a young age, quickly distinguishing himself with a unique blend of technical precision and soulful presence. In 2015, his commitment to the craft earned him a scholarship to the prestigious American Dance Festival, setting the stage for a thriving professional career.

Once based in Dallas, Texas, Micah has performed with celebrated companies including Ingredients Dance Company and Dallas Black Dance Theatre, where he further honed his voice as both a performer and creator. His repertoire includes powerful works by renowned choreographers such as Matthew Rushing, Jae Man Joo, Darion and Madison, and the legendary Baba Chuck Davis.

Micah’s versatility extends beyond the concert stage—he has collaborated with Grammy Award–winning gospel artist Jonathan McReynolds, rapper SevnDeep, and appeared in commercials and industrials across the country. As a choreographer, his work has been showcased in Texas, North Carolina, and Florida, where he continues to inspire and uplift audiences with movement that tells stories, evokes emotion, and reflects his ever-evolving artistic voice.

With a passion for performance and a heart for creation, Micah Isaiah stands as a rising force in the dance world—committed to excellence, grounded in his roots, and driven by a vision to move and be moved.
